I just received my Class-A CDL in the mail without doing the driving test?

    I finished the written portion while attending FFE's driver academy but I left the school before I could do the driving test. So why did I get my CDL suddenly?

    Something is not right..you should not have gotten your cdl in the mail. Are you sure it's not a learners permit? Even then I wouldn't think they would mail it

    No I just checked it again for the 5th time and it says class-a and drivers license at the top. It doesn't say permit anywhere, it says restrictions: AR

    Its a permit, You didn't take a skills test, road test or a pre trip, Does it have your photo on it?

    The R restriction identifies it as a permit. It means you have to have a licensed driver with you 21 years or older.

    Yeah it has my photo and all the texas verification "marks" like the three dirrefent colored stars and the silver texas state on the front and back.
