    Who cares really? The pay isn't directly tied to the categorization. You only make low pay driving a truck if you accept low pay to drive a truck.

    Police officer pays well? Maybe under the table, but you sure as heck don't make lots of money running the beat. Am I comparing apples to oranges? Not all of us work for bottom feeds for minimum wage. In fact, some of us make as much money or more than the average doctor in the medical field. And before you start the 'owner operator' rant, there are company drivers that make $1.09 a mile. And no, they don't work for WalMart and UPS. And WalMart and UPS do not have nice equipment. All the kids on the playground don't live in the slums, amigo.

    To that, does the driver, be it company or o/o or lease, have any recourse if there is damage to the product when it gets to the receiver?
