Does anyone here have experience with Trainco Truck Driving School (Michigan & Ohio). They have schools in Taylor, MI; Ann Arbor, MI; Lansing, MI; Toledo, OH; Norwalk, OH; and Findlay, OH. I am thinking about attending their Taylor, MI school and am looking for any feedback on them, positive or negative. I appreciate anyones feedback.
Thanks.

I went there in 09 and they are good, people were nice to deal with.....went to the one in Taylor. My son went a month before I did he's still driving and so am I....Good luck....John

I went in Taylor. Mark was cool. Didn't do the week by week thing. Has us on the road the second day bob tailing. I was probably the hardest person he ever taught. Ask him about the lady he named puddles, cuz he would catch me crying. If I can do it, anybody can. With determination and lots of hard work.

Thanks for your responses to my question. I was just wondering if they are thorough enough to make their students confident they couldn't get better training elsewhere. Also I understand they help with job placement. Is there certain companies they "recommend" you go to? Some trucking schools I talk with really seem to push one company or another.

I don't know about job placement, they did a job fair my last week. I didn't go, I already had a job. With my husband, so I lucked out on all that. They teach you what you need to pass, like most schools. The real learning comes out here. I know a girl who did the vocational school thing. The company I worked for hired her when she got out. Never gave her a trainer, just threw her out there. She is doing ok, learning the ropes. Those schools are like three months. Trainco in Taylor is different than the other traincos. They do it all at once. The ones in Ohio, do ne week classroom, one week range, etc. I'd do Taylor again.

Im on my 3rd week at trainco I got bumped from day class 4 weeks and 4 days a week to 5 weeks and 5 days a week because they didn't have enough students to fill a class "Min of 3 in a class" My trainer is Cindy. I just think the school is very unfair on how they treat there students. We have one guy that's not ready says the instructor so he has been in our class for 3 weeks now no extra charge and Cindy caters to anything he needs and just leaves us students hanging. We had one student that also is lacking behind and she told him that there is nothing she could do unless he paid $75 dollars a hour extra. So tonight he said he wasn't coming back. They didn't care they got his $4000 dollars. I asked why they would help one student and not another to succeed. And she said if I didn't like it drop out. IM TELLING YOU THIS SCHOOL IS CRAP AND WILL ONLY TAKE YOUR MONEY. Instructors are quitting left and right. How they ever got good ratings I will never know. Must have been from along time ago. Im ready to just quit myself they just do not care.
