I was reading through the ad/web site of New Century and they ask for owner operators to have hazmat and obtain a tanker endorsement. Is tanker a division they're about to start, cause I have yet to see 1 of their trucks pulling a tanker.

I think there's a new rule you need tanker/hazmat endorsement when pulling a dry van load of totes containing chemicals. If it's not a new rule, it's a little known rule.
mp4694330 and Excorcist1 Thank this. -
never heard of it. Where did you find it?
-
I remember the squawk but would need to look it up. I want to say over x gallons or by definition of bulk which i believe was reduced to 300 gallons, which is a tote.....
Not sure but it was a big deal to van operators..........Excorcist1 Thanks this. -
O yeah, that's right. I first heard this last summer in Texas. Schneider had to get tanker drivers to haul totes in dry van, cause DOT were shutting guys down if they had (I think) 1001 gallons which is like 4 totes. I made not be exact on the amount.

Newer heard of that, and I do totes. Also I've seen New Century pulling compressed gas in tankers
-
New Century is hauling compressed gas. I see their trucks everyday
Excorcist1 Thanks this. -
I have saw them pulling compressed tubers for air products but have not seen them doing any liquid tanker work
Excorcist1 Thanks this. -
You do not need tanker endorsement to haul chemicals in totes on a drybox. New Century is pulli ng tankers now. I have seen several of their trucks hauling tank

to haul the compressed gas you have to have tanker
