now they are leaking...i will still wear them in summer though...
-
bought my first set of redwings in 2007 sept. still using them today. I use them summer and winter, mud, snow, in Saudi arabia in the desert. Still 100% waterproof. Working in the patch they get worn anywhere from 6-14 hours per day. 5.5 years and still going strong that is the cheapest pair of boots I've ever spent 300 bucks on
had to change the laces regularily(free at redwing store) insoles once for sure maybe 2x. since i hadn't used my boot allowance in the last 4.5 years I convinced my boss to give me the full price of a new pair(starting to look a lil worn) the new ones are sitting in my locker until the originals give up. I use the redwing boot seal stuff regularily,(every3-4 months) always have a tub or two on hand
Speedloader and rainyday lover Thank this. -
Nitrogen - Do you know what type/model of boot you have ? I'm thinking I might try them next. Anyone else suggest a good Red Wing work model ?
-
model 1412, i have worked all day in 4-6 inches of slush in them and had dry feet at the end of the day. Used them snowmobiling at -20 toasty feet all day. I finally broke down and bought a set of rubber boots the only time they will used is for quadding in the swamps
Speedloader Thanks this. -
Marks is only good if you need Suncor approved boots.
-
I don't know if my Red Wings are suncor approved or not. If they aren't they can buy me boots just for their site or call in another vendor. I don't need no crappy marks boots

I think most companies want to see the green triangle

I just bought a another pair of non insulated red wings for summer.
The insulated were awesome this winter, never had cold feet even standing in snow at -20 for 16 hours. Just to warm for +0 temps.
$300 hurts, but sore wet feet is worse. -
Work authority refunds money , no questions asked. I gave up on Marks due to their return policies and quality. Heres some food for thought ... I regularly buy steel toed running shoe type shoes at Walmart in the USA. Yes, they only last 6-8 months, but at $22, you can't go wrongand they're much more comfortable than the canadian equivalent.
