Does Trans Am offer their I/Cs any type of medical insurance benefits?
-
Nope, as a contractor you're on your own for health insurance.

Got a call from a hiring recruiter from TransAm few days ago after making an app to them (pretty much a pre-hire), I just need to fax her something then I am good. Now the hardest part is waiting till I graduate from school and get that cdl is what's killing me..
I live in CT what kind of routes will someone living in Northeast expect? -
TransAm will run you all over east of the Rockies. A few loads a week go to California. But they dont have regional or dedicated, so you'll be all over.
kirk Thanks this. -
we run to conn mass a lot so getting home would not be a problem

Despite yesterdays drama and moving to another truck stop which messed up m 10 which in turn made me 40 minutes late for my delivery this morning, I must still be in good graces with somebody because theyre giving me another FL load. It feels like Christmas or something, lol. Multi stop load too, which I like because of the stop pay. I wonder how long I will be stuck at the J in Emporia this time...

What the others have said is true. TransAm's core business is high value, refrigerated boxed up meat loads out of the plants throughout the Midwest. Lots of pick-ups in Nebraska, Iowa and Dodge City, Kansas delivered to the population centers in the East.
I have been throughout the US East of the Rockies with TransAm but I mostly run Nebraska/Iowa to New England and Eastern PA. Meat loads Eastbound (refer running), whatever can be picked up Westbound (refer off). Large rolls of paper from mills in PA and Ohio, stuff that comes out of NJ port, etc., back to the Midwest.
Tons of miles on I-80, I-76, I-70. I have been through Ohio and Pennsylvania so much, I am sure I qualify as some kind of honorary resident. I was in Connecticut just two days ago.kirk Thanks this.
