Thanks for all the info, guys. I'll keep you updated on how it goes.

As far as the termination for dropping a trailer, it is funny that you mentioned it. One of the first things I was told was that if you drop a trailer it is an automatic termination, they don't mess around with that it looks like.

It's funny, I've been driving awhile but, the backing involved with this job scares the crap outta me. I've never even pulled vans before. I stated on another forum that I have seen lots of guys scared of end dumps but I must be the first to be afraid of a dry van lol.

All this end dump pullin has ruined me, haha.

They were spun off from under Yellow years ago. The only company Yellow did not bankrupt and close that I know of.

Wow they fire you for that pup bar sliding down?! I'm just waiting for one of them to slide down on me. Ours can easily come out.

Yep. Ever since working for Saia, I always check that pup bar every 2 hours or so. They try to wiggle out on you. That's only if I forget to duct tape it. I have never liked those things. When I was at Estes, there were safe guards in case it slid down and it would get caught before hitting the ground.

No safe guards at Reddaway. I guess I'll start bringing duct tape. Good idea. Had one hanger almost came unhook but that's it. Wish they had the safe guards.

Yeah at Estes they had a wire mesh that was on the dolly and the front one was just like Reddaway. So one out of 2 wasn't bad. Besides you can look behind you in the day cab to see if it's coming loose. The 2nd trailer you can't see it. Yeah isn't duct tape great! Also works good to hold their trucks together lol!
