I agree, if you haven't had any service failures and your doing your job in a safe manner, why put you with a trainer. Sounds like they dropped the ball somewhere.

Well we got to our first stop in Chicago this morning with 15 minutes to spare. Got both stops off and reloaded in Chicago right near downtown with a two stop load. Sitting at the first stop in Columbus now, and then the second stop is scheduled for Monday in Colonial heights, Va.. We're going to see if they will take it tomorrow, if not we will drop at the yard in Richmond. Man that shipper location was TIGHT, low bridges everywhere, but we got it done and beat the evening rush. Be safe!

Picking up a load of the yard in Richmond headed to West Jordon, Utah for Monday morning. Be safe!

My wife just got her CDL learners permit, and starts truck driving school at Blackstone Va in July. We will start team driving after graduation and orientation at Abilene. We look forward to some west runs.

Made it back to Richmond earlier drove past about 8 Abilene drivers heading southbound to Florida. Got to the yard all the decent loads had been dispatched out, all was left was couple NY loads and plenty of Kinzers, pa loads. I just settled with a kinzers load for Monday morning unload. But on the bright side at least I'm able to take my lady out to breakfast in the a.m for Mothersday.
runningman0661 Thanks this. -
I was thinking about hitting the TA or Petro free Mothers Day offer later today. I got a load of Gatorade (I always think of the movie The Waterboy!) out of Wytheville and am headed to Mountain Top. It should be interesting trying to get around Harrisburg with I81 being closed due to the tanker explosion the other day.
I actually got to spend the night last night at the house. Got up, called dispatch, got this load, went to the truck and had nails in my left rear inner drive tire and it was going flat. Drove to the shop to get fixed and they found another nail in the outer drive. Glad that was BEFORE I had 45000 pounds of Gatorade in the trailer. Went to the Flying J to scale-79920. Whew!
When I got to the shipper, the tandems were stuck on the trailer I dropped & the landing gear was rusty & stuck on the trailer I picked up. Thank goodness for PB Blaster & a hammer! Decided to stop early because after all that, I had had enough for the day. LOL
Stay safe everyone. Happy Mothers Day to all moms out there. The Challenger and runningman0661 Thank this. -
Got unloaded earlier in kinzers also got reloaded there as well with a load heading to Lake City, fl. Sitting @ a rest in nc ready to call it a night. Good night

Got empty in Salt Lake and bounced to Green River, Wy to pick up a load going to San Diego. After two hours we got loaded, went and scaled the load. Low and behold we were 1300# over gross, so back we go to get a pallet taken off....two hours later we are headed back to the truckstop to scale it again. I'm still over 700# on the drives with the tandems slid all the way forward. Well I have two choices...1. Go back and have them rework the whole load. If I do that we will miss our delivery window in San Diego and have to sit on the load until Wed. 2. Run with it and cross my fingers that since I'm not over gross I will take my chances at the scales. I chose the second option and got lucky at all the scales.
We bounced back down to Colton to load a load going to Gordansville, Va.. We might be here awhile... I have never seen this place so crowded. We are in the overflow lot across the street from the warehouse with about 50 of our closest friends. I guess produce season is in full force, oh well time for a nap. Be safe! -
Home early since I worked thru my 70 the day before my scheduled home time. Got in 1400 miles for the week. Waiting for my mother to get out of surgery. Will be headed back out Saturday. Hopefully, with a good long load. Need to make up for the 4 days I am missing this week. But, family comes first.
Stay safe, everyone. -
It's good that you can be there for your mother. Lost both my parents a few years ago..... cherish your parents, because it sucks when there gone.RebelChick and JohnBoy Thank this.
