Not good! You need to slide your tandems to the rear until you're under 34 on those trailer tires.
You bet yer bippy on that one! Any extra should be on the drives, and for my money I'll usually slide the tandems one more hole to put an extra portion on those drives as well. Michelin's website has a paper showing the trailer adds more to the rolling resistance than either the steers or drives, so unloading the trailer tires especially if they're wide singles seems to work for me.
This is a Prime thread, and our management is a little sensitive to this- seems a lot of folks don't display the common sense to actually scale their loads! Imagine that!!
Most of our tractors are being ordered with 12,500lb rated axles on the steers, so you're good to that plus there's the APU weight allowance that's good in just about all of the states. So, we're at 12,500 max on the steers, weight distributed evenly between the drives and tandems not to exceed 34,000 with the extra on the drives, and a GCVW of 80,400 pounds max.
I'm not sure how the fuel weight distribution works on the newer tractors since the tanks are mounted further back, but on my '09 Cascadia, they're mounted forward. So, I have my 5th wheel set to place about 12,500lbs on the steers with as much load in my trailer as possible, and full fuel to get to 80,400 lbs gross.

Dang! You mean carhaulers are heavy haul? Who freaking knew?!? :what:

Most of the Prime trucks I've looked at have a sticker on the inside of driver's door stating the axle is rated at 12,000 lbs. Mine sure does.
-
So does mine. It's the newer ones, at least that's what that moron in charge of maintenance claims. Got a new truck yet?
-
He claims many things, doesn't he? Not new, got a ways to go on my 2011. Still feels new though, except for the seat!

Just took a look at my frame sticker on my '14 cascadia.... 12,000 not 12,500

So is the 2014 an Evo?
8 weeks left on my '09. -
Mine isn't. When I picked this up about 8 weeks ago I heard we are getting them they just weren't in yet. Overheard someone say there was an issue with the evos and on guard.

Since I can never seem to get a trailer with the hole restrictions listed on them for certain states, does anyone have a cheat sheet?

Look in your fuel book. Its in there. Or it has been thru 2012. Im too lazy to check my current edition right now, but tradition has it in there, somewhere, every year I have worked here.
