Ok Ive read your post and Ive been out with 2 companies Trans am and Werner and it seems to be that every company is the same, why would the pay you if your not working for them? Orintation is like an interview in our world, so why would they pay for you to go back home if your not working for them? and you go out there to work so yes there going to tell you to bring your stuff the last day of orientation that just how it is but I do know for a fact that after your hired you will be payed for orientatin and travel time in a van to go meet the truck. So here is what I think, as you wanted something for free didnt get it and you did not like it US Xpress is a good place to start and maybe even stay with. Maybe you would have had better luck on getting hired if you was not as much of a ##### so be like the rest of the truck diving world and get a job if you dont like paying for things then maybe this is not the world for you JUST SAYING
U.S. Express Orientation be prepared

Well..usx is very disorganized...you'll find out when you get on the road...they're the masters at double dispatching loads of which one driver will lose out and be told that oh well...
That is one of many things they screw up.TruckDuo Thanks this. -

The bottom line, folks, is that you are an expendable component and the company's could give a rat's patooty about you. Don't enter into employment as a commercial driver under some misguided sense of delightful career move. The companies of today are economically designed around a high turn-over rate. These are no longer the days of romanticized rogues traversing the highways and byways. Everybody is out to screw everybody else over. The best advice: CYA, every day, ALL day. If you don't have the funds to support yourself during orientation or even that time period to the first check, even though the job is a sure thing and everything just looks peachy, DON'T FREAKIN DO IT ! You can brush me off as a negative Nelly, but when your tummy is rumbling, your butt is hangin in the breeze and you've sold some of your belongings to get by, then you can come back and say that A-hole was right. The sad thing is that I hope I am WRONG, but I know better. I wish you all the best of look and good wishes and safe journeys. COVER THAT BUTT, NO MATTER WHAT<
