I go up to QC Canada for all dental needs, visits, cleanings, etc... It is a fraction of the cost the US dentists charge. Some free clinics in NY state now offer dental services. My daughter's boyfriend had a tooth problem and ended up going to one of those free clinics.
The last dental issue I had, my US dentist was going to charge $2300.00. I had the work done in Canada and it cost me $525.00. Go figure!
Not only childhood diseases, but bad teeth problems are often hereditary. My father lost all his teeth in his early 20's to gum disease, my mother wasn't too far behind, so us kids were doomed.
PS: I just passed 2 DoT physicals. No one checks your teeth. Hearing, eyes, sugar, blood pressure, reflects. That's about it.TRKRSHONEY Thanks this. -
Thanx,im looking foward to driving and hated to think not being able to afford a dentist was going to screw it up.
Chinatown Thanks this. -
Look at a companys benefits package, when you start the application process. Some have pretty good health/dental plans. I had good health/dental benefits with companies that use Blue Cross/Blue Shield. Some trucking companies websites give a little rundown on those benefits. For example, Melton Truck Lines has vision/dental/health/disability listed on their website and they hire new CDL graduates.

BCBS is great until you get sick. They jacked my deductible up to $5000 from $1500 without telling me. Then the day of my heart surgery they cancelled me while I was in the hospital.
To bronco, just don't smile at the physical!
