I can get a 3 day permit for non-CARB truck once per year... I think that's enough California for me.
dogbait Thanks this. -
Nothing, don't go. The only run we have is to Long Beach and that will end with Panamex. Their carb sheet is supposed to migrate East eventually, I'll be ready re-retire about that time. ( so will the dog )

Stay out, if they dont change their minds again. Certainly nothing there to make me buy a more problematic truck or retrofit mine with expensive junk.

Nothing. What is this "CARB" you speak of?

Kalifornia Air Resources Board. AKA Kalifornia politburo.Working Class Patriot, Ranger Bob and mp4694330 Thank this.

According to several posters they have no authority to enforce the no older trucks rule. Let me see if I can find the thread.
Here it is:

Jake The Bullhauler Thanks this. -
I live in NorCal and I'm with you....I will not budge until forced to then I will most likely operate out of Vegas or Reno and charge off my commuting and storage costs.....I'm not playing their silly games, rates suck out here now and will never stay high enough for long enough to warrant an upgrade or buying a new truck.Boardhauler, Dewey120, areelius and 1 other person Thank this.

I think it is some kind of new diet fad, guaranteed to make you lose weight, directly from your wallet!Freightlinerbob Thanks this.

I know of several or hear from brokers that (Carriers) are moving out of Cali when (If) the CARB reg goes 100%...
IIRC....Isn't OOIDA involved in a class action lawsuit that if the "14 Rule" doesn't go into effect....That each and every carrier who did upgrade to run in Cali will become compensated for the cost of those upgrades?
Anyone know where they're at on this?
