Gimmie a loaner and get me moving already!

just wanted to say to all you trainers I really don't know how you do it! The more stories I hear from trainers the less interest I have in ever doing it. Talked to a driver this morning whose student WAY over-revved the motor to the point that it blew, and of course central weaseled out of paying the bill. So you trust your life to a rookie, central is happy to give you guys who BARELY passed the cdl test (had some of these in my class), and when they destroy your truck, central leaves you holding the bill. You all have my admiration and respect. I'm glad I didn't decide to go down that path.

Well thats interesting, my recruiter wanted me to call him today to touch base before he orders my bus ticket. Called and asked for him, was told he was no longer with the company. So I got transferred to the person who is handling his apps, no answer, tried again, no answer, left a message. Hopefully everything works out the same.

Finally this afternoon we head put back to California. I have had enough of sitting around at CRSWVC. Get me rolling already. Trainers meeting is till 11:00 so i took the time to take a shower do some laundry and swept out the truck. now I am ready to go If I could I would run the truck through the truck wash too. Soon I will be off again racing to my 200 hours.

I've been told that many recruits will flake out before they get on the bus... or central will order the tickets and then the person is never heard from again. I'm sure its just common practice these days to confirm and reconfirm with potential students before getting everything squared away.

Reminds me of my layover with my trainer in north Platte Nebraska because they shut down the interstate due to snow. Thankfully we were at a truck stop AND got along well... because it was a long two days.

I've never really felt like I had an issue being claustrophobic... but by the end of that I felt like the truck was shrinking and was thrilled when we could roll again. As always stay safe and hope to meet ya soon.

Loaner assigned, load pset, motor royally devastated (but under warrantee). Time to roll! I'd say I could do without ever seeing crswvc again, but that would mean I don't get my truck back.

They put me in a 386, any it's gonna be a couple days before I'm really comfortable. It drives absolutely nothing like my freightshaker. Sorry to anyone who has the misfortune of watching me back the next two days, I'm sure ill look like a rook all over again.

In other news, it's not a blown head gasket, or at least that's not all. The shop is replacing AT LEAST two sleeves. Idk what happened to blow the bottom end, but thank god for warranties.

Do foreign drivers have to do something extra at the end of every delivery. I get my paperwork, send in my 16 and I'm gone. At the most 15 minutes if I have to discuss something with dispatch. I watched this guy sign out, I checked in. I started to back into my door, he's still in it. Then I went around two blocks to get a better angle and he hasn't even started his truck... Guess ill go get a $5 burrito off the truck that's here and wait for Germany to get a move on! Hope everybody made their mama's proud this weekend! Lol.

Got red tagged when I rolled into WVC. Kind of getting used to it. When I checked at 1900 I was still third in line (I checked in at 1300). Good part of all this. I had a delivery 30 miles away at 0400. That got pawned off on Someone else. I'd get to sleep in now cept they'll probably wake me up at 2am to take the truck into the shop.

My tractor ABS light began coming on and off when I would hit hard bumps in the road. Been at CRSFO since noon yesterday and they just now are looking at my truck. I do have a sister down here so it was nice to see her and my nephew but now I'm getting anxious on them fixing the issue and getting a long load outta here!
