Students choice...Crete or Conway Truckload?

I don't know anything about Crete, but I'm happy with Con-way truckload.

 

Both companies are pretty much comparable. Conway trucks have inverters in them so you can have a dorm refrigerator and microwave put in them. However, I believe they use opti-idle for heating and cooling. Meanwhile, Crete trucks use primarily the battery operated HVAC system for heating and cooling, but have no inverters. You also get free satellite radio with Conway. Both of them pay about the same to start, but the pay increases a little faster subsequently with Crete and Crete's benefits are a little better as well I think than Conway's. Finally, both companies seem to treat their drivers a little better as well, depending upon whom you talk to. Hence, you won't go wrong with either company.

 

I'm sure if you look around you will find you have a lot more choices in your area than you might think and I wouldn't count them out.

Between the two carriers fore mentioned I think its a no brainer, Crete isn't even in the same class as Con-Way Truckload. Con-Way offers many career options for you future where you may not want to ever leave. Crete would only be a stepping stone to something better. That's just my opinion.

 

Both are good starts. I would make Conway my plan A and Crete my plan B.

 

was with crete with 3 years and am now with conway. And i have to say conway is the better company, crete is ran by a bunch of lawyers that have never been in a truck and they treat all their drivers like crap. Over at conway they treat you with respect no brainer and not to mention crete might pay a little more per mile but i am running more miles as a regional driver at conway than i did with crete as a otr and i am bringing way more money in than i did with crete. If im running more miles as a regional driver than i did with crete otr and i do know that drivers with conway that are otr are running more miles also. Plus theres the little things with conway that crete would never do for their drivers. Conway will pay for your shower or i should reimburse you and the same goes if you have to pay for some where to park they reimburse, not to mention the free sirius xm radio.
