6nz particulate filter

    anybody heard of a carb certified particulate filter that is not hooked into ecm or fuel lines? I only put a couple thousand miles per year in ca., thinking putting filter on and off at state lines. heard rumor there was one like that out there.

    When you add the DPF, it has its own little computer separate and has nothing to do with the ECM unless CAT programs the lo-nox file in it.

    is it a possibility to put one on coming into ca. and remove it coming out of ca. or would it be a lot more in depth than that?

    Negative. Once it's on, it stays on. If you don't want the back pressure, drills holes inside the matter. Im still trying to figure out how Im gonna do mine once I get it install. Im searching for the loop holes or performance ones. Im basically waiting till the last minute and see what happens. Some GURU will come up with something sooner or later.
