I hope you also have money for breakdowns etc since you are looking for an older truck. There are lots on truckpaper.

New truck lasts about 6-8 years out here. It's about how you want to live. Most companies have nice ones.
Your skill and work ethic depends on what you are aloud to drive. I drove years before I could drive what WE wanted to. It's 4' to the bathroom. Too much weight, you can't haul anything. My middle name is Permit. My first question is, How much is insured for. Where is it going, And who will meet me. I love this job.

The big shack trucks are for lighter hauling...very few carriers will even consider hiring a truck like that cause its to limiting. I knew a guy who had a 132" double eagle on a W9 n his bobtail weight was 27800 lbs. Id just be pretty happy with a KW studio bunk...

IF you want a BIG sleeper... And you want a RV type comfort... As said it gets heavy. Nice rig I have seen/want is www.customstudiosleeper.com (hope I spelled that right)
I actually was in their shop today. Saw a 4 yr old rig they had done. He wanted some other work done/was thrilled with it. They also had a 2 yr old sleeper they were moving from guys current truck to 2013 unit.
Thing is while I love the idea of them. The weight, restrictions on 5th wheel.... are some of many reasons I doubt I will ever own one in truck. Thing is he also went WIDE. He uses think clearance lights to stay legal...
He does have some factory "take offs" available. Now that I think of it he has a T600 I would guess 2005? I don't recall engine/trans. (just walking around as he was dealing with another driver)

THIN. Opps. :) :) The sleeper is so wide that standard lights would be oversize. Sorry for typo.

    MJ1657 Thanks this.
