Trucker shot after attacking off-duty Merrillville cop

WOW That driver should have been charged with assault, not with attempted murder... thats rediculous

wow...the driver couldn't find anywhere else to park other than at planned parenthood??? oh well he doesn't have to worry about that now that's for sure....

The cop was in his full rights to shoot him. He was being attacked. Apparently this "driver" was a scumbag when you see his record, and with all the screaming about PP, the officer was probably concerned. Thankfully the officer will be ok.

 

Cop deserved it. If he's off duty, he shouldn't be writing parking tickets. If he's on the clock working a second job in his off duty time, he should not be allowed to wear his uniform or use his squad car to commute. This cop's actions reek of abuse of power...and for that the butt-whoopin' was wholly justified.

That being said, attacking a cop is just plain dumb. They've got friends who will come to their aid...and those friends are all armed. So unless you've got more friends with bigger guns nearby to assist you when that cop's friends show up, it just won't end well for you. Then, when the melee is over, the courts tend to side with the cops more often than not...so you're still going to be up a creek.

For what it's worth, when an off duty cop was working night time security at a motel I was staying at and busted some guys trying to steal my fuel, he was in plain clothes and let his on-duty pals actually arrest the thieves. All he did was stop them and make sure they didn't go anywhere until the uniformed cops showed up.

 

Be sincere joseph1135! you are mad because the trucker punched the officer in the Planned Parenthood office where they murder unborn babies! That's where the losers abort! Now, I don't believe anything that comes from an officer's report! No truck driver is going to lose his job because a couple of parking tickets! This Truck driver has my support and we need to learn the facts before we the public court of opinion put him behind bars on a murder charge by fighting another officer. How well trained is this officer that cant defend himself vs an unfit driver! I have a feeling this officer was offensive towards the driver and ooida should get involved!

 

I'm sure the trucker had a reason. The voices in his head, or 'haid' (as you would probably spell it, I mean SPEL it) probably told him to attack the cop....I mean PIG. (so you will understand what I am writing...sorry...wat I dun rote)


One more piece of truckin' trash off of the road......but honest citizens will have to pay his medical bills, and feed him while he is in prison.
