There is no age restriction, but the engine has to be electronic. No Mechanical. Mercer is getting ready in case our gooberment mandates electronic logs. -

Can anyone tell me how I would do with CRST Malone living in the Roanoke Va. area? I have considered them for a while and recruiters just say what you want to hear. Is there anyone out there that can give me an idea about flatbed freight around Roanoke Va. and what would be a good lane to run? Thank you for your help.

For my short time contracted there, it wasn't much freight out of/near Roanoke... I found a lane running lumber out the house up north, then something going out to the Midwest or down south to set up around a Steel Mill.. It wasn't much freight besides lumber picking up in Virginia, There was Aluminum Coils picking up in Charlottesville and Petersburg that paid $1.90 a mile with tarps but most of CRST stuff ran through Virginia

popcorn, I'm sure you can find stuff running from the PA, OH area that runs to the carolina's that will run down 81 and get you by the house. But, if you want to home most weekends, leasing isn't for you. Going home all the time when first starting out is a good way to lose your rear and put you back into a company truck.
