I'm not sure if the Dish antenna is rated to take the weather permanently mounted on a truck. I know the Winegard RV antennas are, and I've seen one mounted to the back of the sleeper on a Prime truck.

when i first came out on the road. i had 2 pipes. one fit inside the other. i could raise the pipe as an extension. the dish was mounted on the pipe. and the pipe was inside a load lock space.

when parked. all i had to do was raise the pipe and angle the dish.

probably woulnd't work these days though with the new high defenition dishes. much heavier and wider.
