Is this accurate? I thought on location time is on duty time...? Someone please clarify. Sand haulers don't get line 5 wait time so why would "standby" be allowed as off duty...

I only know the oil side. They did not allow us to use the 'standby' line on the log (oilfield exemption not considered 'off duty',your logged work time stops when you are at a well site on 'stand by', but you are getting paid), although it was there. We still were getting 72-84 hours per week.

Anybody working for MBI in Charlotte, TX. Received an offer from them but they want me to pay my own way to ND for training, plus pay them to stay in their man camp while they train me. Don't think I'll be jumping on this one. I mean if they're this cheap before they even hire me, how bad will they be once I'm on pay roll?
-
Yeah, that's a pure joke....you'd be better off staying at Key.
Ben Gunn Thanks this. -
That was the same last year. We got paid while training, but we had to get to Medora and pay 150/week for the motel (with a roommate) while we were there.
-
This year they're charging $300 for the privilege of staying there.

Mr.
Bultis
Inc.
They used to compete with us over the contracts here in San Diego, They drove like MANIACS because they got paid by the load.(and so did I BTW) We don't see them around any more, I think they were out of Chicago or something like that -
This is a different MBI. It's a company doing oil field work. Yeah Bults lost the San Diego contract a while ago.

Wonderful.
