Yeah the money can be good, but there is all kinds of money to be made. I've only been in the oilfield for 6 months and I've seen enough already..... Watching my friend literally have his head slapped off his body wasn't fun. All because a know it all Treater had him beat on a pipe with 8500 psi on it.... Oil field takes a hard toll on your body, it's not a glorious job..... So I'm sure you could take your preaching elsewhere.

And it was caused by a trucker

On vacation with the wife in the Bahamas a few years ago and she is was swatting wildley at the air freaking out at the size of the bee that is flying around her . . . It was a humming bird, thankfully she missed.nascarchuck Thanks this.

Well now in the Bahamas is it safe to assume there may have been a frozen concoction or two involved also? That often accounts for cases of mistaken identity in the Caribbean.Corporal_Clegg Thanks this.

My niece is married to a WSP DOT officer based out of Mt Vernon WA. He told me today that problem wasn't the load. it was properly licensed, was not overweight and had a pilot car to determine safe passage and warn other vehicles. Trouble is the 'height stick', the tall antenna hoohaw that warns the trucker if his load is too high to pass was set 11" too low, causing the load to strike overhead cross beams and bring the bridge down.
So it wasn't the trucker...it was the pilot car. Wanna bet there's some sphincter puckering going on at that pilot car's insurance company right about now?Corporal_Clegg Thanks this. -
and if that tall load could have moved away from the right shoulder, he would have never struck the angled down beam. A combination off errors. He only struck the top right front corner of the load on the angle beam... shows just how close the bridge was to collapsing.
-
So does this mean I can hire a pilot car next time I go into Chicago...and if I ram into a low bridge it'll be their fault?

Sent from my EVO using Tapatalk 2TRKRSHONEY Thanks this.
