Tanker/hazmat out of Florida?

I feel your pain and you are absolutely right about that. The bigger the company - the better chance you have as a rookie. That applies to me too by the way ))) I just applied to

1. Schneider (solo)
2. Windy Hill (solo, florals)
3. Armellini (teams, florals)

I still cannot get over the idea of driving team, but I hear great things from my instructor, this forum and drivers on the road. You might want to check them out. Let us know here how you progress. I will be posting every step too.

Hehe! I was thinking about Texas too, but I will get a few months as a newbie somewhere before I start researching this topic more thoroughly. Btw, for the TWIC card, you can use the background check from the hazmat, you will also save about $20 ($110 instead of $130). I am just waiting to get my license and background check back in the mail, it has been a couple of weeks. Then I am getting a TWIC momentarily.

 

Give some more info on yourself - experience, what type of setup you want...

I would try Dillon. I am pretty sure they have a terminal in Tampa. Heard all good things about them. Give them a try
