Let's say someone started attending a certain company's training and then quit because they didn't like the company, would other companies be able to find out? Disclaimer, this is not for me.

cant say for sure but may end up on the DAC what they put on there if at all would depend on the company and how the trainee left
-
Short answer, YES. They will find out.
-
Even though the student never tested for his CDL?
-
There are labor laws that protect every employee in the U.S. about what an employer can share with anyone. The trucking industry is no different. I some cases DOT allows/requires that some information be shared that is not normally allowed like a failed drug test.
Also the Fair Credit Reporting Act protects you in so incidents, like with DAC reports.
So, no its it is not much different than any other industry.
Well, if you mean you went to their sponsored training and didn't pass, finish, or complete your contract -- yes they could put that on your DAC, credit report and hire a credit collection agent to try and collect any and all money they spent on you. -
How does one go about seeing what's in the DAC report? is there a fee?
-
You are allowed 1 free DAC report per year. And you can actually google it and order it
-
It's gonna show on your dac.
-
I think it would depend if the person in question was actually an employee of the company or just a student at a training academy.
-
You're an employee even as a student.
