All depends on how big of sleeper the t/k and carrier will struggle on hot days with the big sleepers both them about equal little diff t/k uses fuel fired bunk heater carrier uses electric heater carrier uses elec compressor for air t/k uses belt driven pump. Big sleepers would think about onan or black diamond.
Rado101 Thanks this. -
Don't know if the newer carrier is different but, you can only get AC from them, when the APU is running. No inverter provided!!!

SHC on the flatbed forum just put on a dynasys apu, hasn't had it very long but you could ask him, what Ive read about them that's what I would lean towards but that's my opinion

I was comfortable with my Tri-pac down in phoenix in 95-100 degree temps last week no issues.

Well put a dynasis on my truck last Aug, its Generator power with 4 110 outlets and heating and air unit, as well as conection for block heater.
It will cool and heat the truck no problem, been in sub zero and desert temps. Has auto on for low voltage if you use the TV or inverter to long.
No the bad, ive had this thing in the shop over 10 times for computer issues, if they could just get that right Id be happy as a pig in slop!
I have buddies with the same APU and its a 50/50 crapshoot weather or not you get a good oneRado101 and freightlinerfever11 Thank this. -
$9700 ...that's the payment for outright purchase. I've applied....then my jaw dropped. dynasis, that is.
Rado101 Thanks this. -
The best APU on the market is the one you don't have to pay for!

We like our T/K and have not had any issues keeping it at 74* in the summer. We have gotten cold under 3' of snow, but that's the heater issue.
I like an inverter biased system over a generator system.
I have read that the T/K tripack uses about .2 gallons an hour, but it cycles unless the batteries need charging or it's above 95* and humid. With the savings in fuel at $4.00 a gallon it pays for it self in just the fuel savings in a year over the semi running.
We have not had any issues with our Tri Pack.Rado101 Thanks this.
