The who, what, why, when and where of why I am here....
I am a strong minded, female, who has become hell bent on being a Safe Truck Driver, The second love of my life was found when I sat in a 2009, 13 gear Peterbuilt (a friend of my oldest son came to visit him) I started asking questions then.....I worked as a Industrial Paramedic for 18 years, was laid off in 2008, when the company moved to Berlin, went on unemployment and back to school for a BA in Biotechnology(study of DNA), I wanted more out of life than a 9-5, and a uniform.
The excitement and the over whelming feeling of freedom came when I was allowed to ride as a rider in PETER.......Thanks Riley......I knew in 2 weeks that I could do this, I wanted to do this, I am going to do this.....PRIME JUNE 2013.....was alotted just under 4 months on this truck, and yes I got my permit within that time and was taught some very basic, by the book, things, I have a few miles too,.....thanks again Riley
I want to keep this breif, honest and notable, because in a year I want to look back over my own writings, and review them to see how far I have come,
I joined this web-site by reference, a female trucker I met in TN, Ms Peggy, she gave so much of her time that evening to me, I worried that women with P.T.I, Air Brakes, Learning, Backing, BOL, Life, Family, Schooling, Testing, D.O.T., Logs, we sat from her truck to riley's truck, to enjoying dinner and a movie, she was on a 34 restart and I took every moment that she would give me, Thanks Ms Peggy talk soon,
This web site has informed me of many issue, put me in contact with other students, and allowed me to inform myself on awareness and protocals, I have spent most of the last week, reading, contacting, and becoming approved for PRIME, I am excited.....will keep you informed, updated of my progress.......Thanks
