Elogs can be divided into entries of no less than 5 minutes. Anything over 5 minutes will be logged as you logged it and not altered in any way. You should know this by now..
As far as steering, it depends on the cascadia. Some of them have a problem with the power steering pump that can make very low speed maneuvering frustrating at times, but never unmanageable. As far as comparing to a prostar, I never had any steering problems with the prostar so it's hard to compare, but when the pump is working correctly cascadia steering is as good as anything else, and better than this pete.
Either truck should have a new QC, and it does make managing your logs easier, if for no other reason than the fact that you can change duty status in an instant and don't need to send a message. -
the reason why i asked about the new qualcom is because i dont have it, so no i shouldnt know. the old qualcom is different. and when i was on my trainers truck i changed from lone 4 to line 2 and it counted my line 4 as sleeper time which pissed me off. the old qualcom doesnt do that. as for the power steering if i have that problem id have to get it fixed asap . thats annoying -
That log issue shouldn't've happened unless the line 4 was less than 5 minutes, or if after 5 minutes you drove .7+ miles in less than 5 minutes, shut the truck off (returning it to line 4) then switched to line 2 less than 5 minutes after you started driving. It gets a bit confusing in situations like that, but anything except line 3 or 5 can be edited. The basics of the log system don't change with the new qc, just the interface.
The power steering problem can be un-diagnosable. Mine was, but I learned to live with it. The only time it's really a bother is when you ran out your 14, you're tired as can be, and you're trying to get into a tight spot (probably the last one in the lot). I think it got fixed last time I was at crswvc, but I didn't get a chance to find out. A year ago freightliner checked it out and said there was nothing wrong, when clearly there was. -
Yeah. I'm the buckeye. In going to call them on lunch and have them spray before we get back. I'm going to give them the opportunity to fix it first. if not then I'll say something to Karen. have you had any more problems with your new room tats man?
-
no you dont understand with my trainer he had a steering problem it killed me when i was backing. i mean i hated it so much. and when he fixed it life was good. im hoping for a volvo. i really like them and i can drop the air. in the drop yards when the trailer is sunk it makes life hard. not to mention my prostar i cant put my refrigerator in it? i dont know how to eat in the truck now. i need to figure something out. im just hoping i dont have problems
-
His was probably worse than mine had been. They get worse over time and eventually become diagnosable problems, at which point they can be fixed. You can put a refrigerator in any truck, but you're really better off with a plug in cooler; they hold a lot more food. The only thing I keep in my $800 refrigerator (which i didn't pay for) is water, redbull, and strawberry preserves.

ya i cant find the cooler walmart dont fit 1.7 cu ft is too big to fit -
I got a little cooler from a truck stop, looks like a 1'x1'x1' soft sided ice chest but plugs in to run a cooler. I just use it so I can have cold drinks and to keep my bean dip (for chips) and shredded cheese (for canned food) good. Not as cold as drinks out of the fridge but only cost me like $40 so who am I to complain?

ok im so embarrassed to ask . ok in my trainers truck i never ever pre tripped it. he never told me too. in my prostar i open the hood so easily. i remember i tried to open it for the cascadia it was so hard. how do we open it ? and close it. it just made no sense to me? i feel weird asking someone in utah next week how to do it? unless one you guys are there next week and can show me. ya its weird dont judge me.
