Ok, was he at Ats prior and then switched??

I had to call our safety guy in Salt lake yesterday. Got pulled over in Overland park, Ks. on I 435 for a road side insp.
1 maker light out. Told him I got a new one, you can fix it later. Then the arse wrote me a warning on it. So I called and gave them the happy news.
Why he just did'nt let me replace it there was a crook. So now it's 2 points times 3 on my score..

I get this question all the time. Drivers legal plan has gotten several of my drivers (and myself a time or two) out of this. First of all the POSTED speed limit is how fast you can go PERIOD. If you have an oversize permit that says 55 (or whatever) and you do not adhere to the speed printed on the permit, its a permit violation. An oversize permit CAN NEVER supersede LAW. Oversize permits fallow "rule" not "law". Im speaking about the states that I deal with, Arizona, New Mexico, Texas... They are all the same.
Your friend is guilty of violating a permit condition, not speeding.

Got stopped in VT. Permits state 50 mph. DOT man said they dont enforce the 50mph on the interstates, it makes a reason for them to stop the permit trucks, to check everything else.

Triple Six. I live and work out of Virginia, I must have missed what City he got the ticket in, Tell your friend not to pay the ticket without having an appearance in court.
It is not uncommon to get the ticket thrown out of court here, Many judges feel that if the load is not in excess then the driver who follows the 55mph per the permit is impeding traffic and they toss them, and at worst he gets it reduced to failure to obey a traffic sign no points and non moving. I will ble e out of town till next Friday I am available via email though depending on where he got the ticket I know a few good lawyers for OS/OD Fines in the Communist State of Virginia.

Two under. It looks like it was a 55 mph speed zone.
