Just curious if you checked all the cables to make sure they are good and especially cleaned all the connections? My batteries got weak about Wednesday, when i got home by Friday and shut it down it wouldn't fire back up. Cleaned all connections and it started like a champ. Before you buy batteries have the old ones load tested and clean the connections.

I have EXTREMELY good luck with NAPA batteries... made by Deka.

3 years isn't too bad. Thats when the the CAT branded batteries I use start to show their age. The one that are in the truck now are 4 years old and you can tell when you start it up after the cooler/tv has been on for a full 10/12 hours. I just load tested them and they tested on the low side of acceptable but didn't drop any further and they were all equal. I'll check them again in Dec. when I clean the connections for winter. BTW these are some of the lower cranking amp batteries(700CCA) after using 1000 CCA batteries for years.

Yeah I took all 3 out to charge them 1 at a time so I cleaned every thing up... Actually checked them soon as I took them out just with the volt meter and 1 was 12.5 the other 2 were 12.1 so I new they were low opened the caps topped them off and so I fired up the chargers... I have 2 and i borrowed 1 charger... Rite off the 12.6 started bubbling in all 6 cells but the other two took a while to come back but 1 cell in each never bubbled so its time....I actually took all 3 to autozone and there in house machine is great the days of load testing is over all electronic testes the machine even told us how far of the cca was from what it was supposed to be and sure enough the two had real high resistance so there toast... Just wondering what to replace them with..

IMHO--part of the problem is 3 batt's I know some brands have done this at times--but I have had 3 different Paccars(Petes)and solved the problem adding the 4th Batt that should have been there in the first place. Of course YOU NEED to be sure the ENTIRE charging system is up to snuff--especially all cables and connections. Also I only use 1000ca batts--less strain--now at retail they are more expensive--but deals can be found--I have posted this before--but Deka makes a big chunk of all batts out there--and I see you r from Staten Island--their PA plant is only about 2 hours away from you--so Unless you never leave the metro--you probably get pretty close--and they sell all their blems at a very reduced price--course I have 2blues-a yellow and a red--LOL--but all four for under $200
Good Luck

I always bought mine at truckpro, price & availability. always lasted just over 3 years. last ones lasted 3 years 6 months, then while in my driveway, they went dead. on a sunday afternoon. only place open was napa. got the 3100 series. they are in now. cannot say how they will do, just yest. but bought at least 4 sets over time & never lasted much over 3 years. always over 3, just on borrowed time after the 3 year mark.

I use the OPTIMA yellow top batteries. Have had the same four in my two diffrent trucks. They are now 8 (yes, EIGHT) years old with no problems. I started useing them when I found out my 3,500 watt inverter was causing the lead/acid type batteries to fail at an extreme early date. Was lucky to get 24 months out of the lead/acid battery.
