You sound a little bitter. Go ahead and give it up now, that way more freight is out there for me. I am not quitting until three days after I am dead

Gee, trucking must be just terrible. Such a lousey way to make a living. Poor pay, etc. I hear there are openings in the private sector, please apply. Dont need all this negativity, as its a tough enough job without it. As for the lost wife, gee mine is still true and still married to her after 42 years. See, it can work. Good luck in whatever you do, less negativity could cut down on your chances of a ulcer.DrtyDiesel, Puppage and Tonythetruckerdude Thank this.

Not even in the industry and not impressed. Maybe you should try another field, as apparently trucking is not for you. No training, no experience and you can tell when a occupation sucks? My thought is maybe you are not cut out to drive and truck, and possibly its not the industry that sucks but the person in the mirror.

hilarious, I always think they're filling out a mortgage app, but this is a better explanation

I know I am a student of this game and don't know much or anything about living on the road but life isn't easy working any job and they all have parts that just suck. A bunch of significant others cheat on their spouses daily, and it has nothing to do about career. The gov has their hands in ALL business now-days, not just trucking. Many companies are downsizing and not rehiring for empty slots causing the other workers to double and sometimes triple their daily work load with no pay raise or benefits, just a threat that they are easily replaced by the multitudes of non-working people standing in line to get your job. Having a criminal record ruins you in the private sector too, unless your want menial labor positions that pay daily. All companies in all industries are bypassing regular maintenance costs and performing repairs on an as need basis causing your job to become harder and more frustrating. And you think truckers are disrespectful? You know how the 4 wheeler's are on the road, its like that every where else too so rudeness is just part of everyday life. Do I like it? Hell no, I would like to put a foot in an ### a lot of times during the day but a lot of good that would do.
Now I do think not having a bathroom when you need it sucks.I will have to adjust to that LOL And the loneliness will come and go, but that can happen at home for regular folks as well.
The point I am trying to make is, even though trucking isn't the "good life" like it used to be...it's not a bed of roses working at a regular home nightly job either. If you see darkness in everything, you will never find the light at the end of the tunnel. So, look at the bright side, you're making money and paying your bills...try being laid off twice in a year and going through your retirement funds and trucking looks pretty #### good to me. -
I like trucking. I don't do anything all day and I'm home every night.
