Looking to lower my rpms. I have a 10 speed with 3.58's and run 1450 rpms at 65 mph. How much rpm drop would I get going to 24.5's.
Going from 22.5 to 24.5 tires.

go to eatons road ranger web site. look for road speed cal. there you can enter all of your info and it will tell you.

It really depends on tire size. What size do you have now? If I'm not mistaken, a low pro 24.5 is the same diameter as an 11R22.5. Maybe you could just get larger tires if you don't have big rubber already and save some $$ on buying new wheels. Plus 11R22.5s will ride better than a low profile 24.5.

should drop you around 100 rpm i went from low 22's to tall 22's same as a low 24 about 100
Lone Ranger 13 Thanks this. -
just make sure your new tire size does not put your cruising speed at a lug speed.

Lowering the rpm too much will result in more fuel burned rather than saving fuel.

I am switching my steers out this week from 24.5 low pro to a 22.5 low pro.
Gona sell wheels and tires or trade you even up.
