297 and 6.49. Doesn't climb very fast, lol.
My FM said that my mpd is shown low because I took 5 days off after I was assigned my truck putting me in the hole from the start. -
Sarge, Sewerman, Jim, and all the drivers who get the highest mpgs did not get there overnight. It takes time, and a dedication to 57-59mph at least 95% of the time.
JimTheHut Thanks this. -

I am in rat and go over 77 on a regular basis. I would.rather run it than up into pa. If.you get good mpg.going into the mountains and good after the mountains, the tank mpg.will.be ok.Blind Dog Thanks this.

Yep we do, in fact spent last month back and forth to the Carolinas and actually ran 77 start to finish. Yes it can be done but it takes a 100 percent effort. Sewerman and I have different climbing styles. He likes getting up em, I like put putting up em. I drive by foot in a gear that I can hold between 1300--1400rpms. Once I've crested the hill, I don't hammer on it to get up to speed, gravity and the weight of the load pushing me down the hill takes care of that. Of course that can only be done if the downhill after the uphill is steep or long enough to do so. Gotta read the hills and good mpg in the hills is a novel, not just the cliff notes. Like trucking, good mpg is a lifestyle and requires CONSTANT vigilance, not just 2 hours of going slower.
