Well after searching for about 3 months I finally bought my truck and trailer , here are few details and pics ...

2003 Freightliner Century 12.7 detroit , 13 speed, weed burner exhaust . The truck has 800k miles, its been pulling boats for about 4 years so not heavy loads.
    $17200
2002 Utility reefer , 2012 carrier unit 2 yr warranty and 2012 compressor with new starter 2 yr warranty . new brakes, newer tires , weight scale, cat eyes .
    $15,500
Managed to stay under 35k for everything ....Nothing special but I like it . First time drove it with trailer today ...
my dog BUDDY likes the truck :)
I did feel some vibration when I drove today ...I think I might have to replace u joints , also saw that my compressor was leaking little oil. THE FUN BEGINS :biggrin_25523:

Got my own authority so will see how it goes :). ........wish me luck guys!!!!!!:biggrin_25525:

PS. I AM LOOKING TO BUY used APU!!!??? anybody??

Good for you, mate. Best of luck out there. Remember to have patience and not take cheap loads from the larger brokerages. Hold out until they give you your rate, which can become your base rate for most or all loads with them.

Have fun with repair expenses. I hope you don't run into anything major for a little while at least. Did you get a dyno on the tractor?

    See you out there.

    buddyvuk Thanks this.

Congrats.... that 12.7 will be cheaper to rebuild when the time comes than most, and hey.... Buddy likes it!

Hope to hear from you detailing all your experiences as you jump through all the hoops of your first month or so on the road....

From my experience, it doesn't matter if its new or old you will dump money into it. I wish you a better first year than I had.
