I was in Vegas about two weeks ago. Parked in a dirt lot next to the parking structure at Palace Station. Other trucks were there as well. $10 (each way) cab got me to Treasure Island so that I could enjoy Strip attractions. Not a bad deal.

Probably should be noted that treasures strip club is directly across the interstate from the palace station lot haha.

How about a twist on this original request...

What about a DOG FRIENDLY hotel (Ideally on the strip or dam close) with TRUCK parking?
I haven't made any inquiries but that will be our next need for the next visit into LV..

In Orlando, I found a great hotel with truck parking that is super dog friendly and it worked out awesome.
I'd like to duplicate that for Vegas...

I have a dog too. Wild West allows small dogs.

Wild west isnt that bad... i've taken quite a few 34 hr resets there..... no, its not the bellagio, but you're not paying for the bellagio either... during the week, you can get a room for 35 a night if you find the right online booking... i spent 3 nights there, and it was a heck of a lot cheaper than idling my truck, plus a shower and cable! there's a Dennys on the side of the casino, and you get a free breakfast and 2 free coffees per night booked.

its a 10 minute walk to the strip, and if you wanna take the bus, there's a stop right out front, and its $7 for an all day bus pass...

Sam's Town is good. Also the station casinos have truck parking along with shuttle trips to any other station casino. Stay off the strip. You'll only buy yourself a headache with parking and it would be cheaper to park in one of the outlaying casinos then take a cab or shuttle. Sam's Town was owned at one time by Sam Boyd which owned the Horseshoe downtown. It has a large country western theme. He was the only casino that had no limit on your bet. But once you placed your large bet that was your limit. If you bet a million then you had to stick to it. I saw an oriental gent place a million dollar bet and he lost. He bet again and lost then killed himself. It happens all the time but you just don't read about it. The casinos run the town and they do not want any bad publicity getting out. In my opinion the Wild West is kind of run down. You'll get much better service at the outlaying bigger casinos like the Orleans, Sunset Station, Boulder Station, Goldcoast, Sam's Town, and even the Rio. You can get to the strip with no problem from any of them. Good luck and remember you never lose your money in Vegas, they know exactly where it goes.

The main advantage of Wild West is is actually a truck stop too. You can park there and say at one of the nice resorts on the strip. I LOVE the Rio. Huge hotel rooms and a free shuttle to the strip.

Someone already sais it but I second The Orleans.

Very large and well lit with a fence and security. It is where NASCAR haulers park when downtown and not at the track.
