Tmc does run out of Westfield, as does Hartt transportation. And another company whose name is escaping me at the moment. However Westfield is closing on 2 hrs from Boston, lot of those loads are in daycabs...I can't suggest to the OP a 1.75+ hr commute each way for a job driving. Though it would be in the opposite direction of rush hour if working days. Lots of trucks go into Boston every day. Look at which ones you see near your area frequently and start making phone calls/ knocking on doors.

Could you be kick you out of a truck stop because of the onion smell?

Thanks Ruthless,
I know won't be easy find a truck company/job and living in the hearth of Boston. I will start to knocking doors 2 weeks before getting my CDL. I am willing to work harder and not be back home often in my first year. I also thought of team up my first 6 months to a year if I could find a partner with great legs, nice tan bikini's line, long hair, yes I am dreaming. thinking the idea of teaming up my first year. Would be great to find a person I could trust and vice-versa. To make money and learn faster, not get tired of driving and have time to relax and think. I will keep it in mind.
I just don't want one night my partner saying
"hey, wanna watch a movie?"
and I ask - "what tilte?"
he says - "back broke mountain!"
and I go - "oh, f..k!"Last edited: Jun 1, 2013

Haha it would be "broke back bunk". I know Westfield is a hike but you could probably take the truck home if you have a place to park.

lol, "broke back bunk" that's a good one! No I don't have a place to park the truck, but is not a bad idea to look around and maybe I can find a place to rent. The companies let drivers take the truck ( you mean the tractor only ) even if they live 2 hours away? Isn't that too much responsibility if something happens company may bill me for it?
Thanks. -
No most let you take the truck home and I mean truck and trailer. Need to watch certain loads lowes loads would easy to steal so probably make you be empty if you were on that account.

This is premature information: if you are looking for a place to park in Boston, I'd go ask the crane company in S Boston, over on D street they have a big lot where lots of trailers are parked/loads are staged.
There are plenty of companies that have freight going into Boston. Lots aren't located anywhere there, but if they have freight to where you live, you can schedule home time using those loads to get back.
Good luck with your teaming idea. It would be rather challenging to find an ideal team partner for many of us out here. Long legs and tan lines aside lol
