Since u have a hard time "COMPREHENDING", let me explain. If your DRIVER says its a bad neighborhood. Why would he decide to just leave it sit there unattended? Can only mean that the driver HIMSELF is up to no good and trying to blame someone else. Its very simple. Driver feeling paranoid with his boss. EXCUSES...EXCUSES.

I don't trust my neighbors. We have one kid that likes to go around and pilfer through all the vehicles. The sheriff patrols the place on regular basis and the kid has been busted red handed like 3 or 4 times now. He's gone for 90-120 days and the cycle starts all over again.

your driver may have a similar situation.

I will admit, the failed VSS doesn't look good for him though.

I've got Teletrac GPS tracking on a couple of my trucks. It's $40/month per truck if you buy the equipment. You can install it under the dash if you don't want your driver to know about it, and it'll give you all the information you want. It taps into the J1939, and can even give you active and stored trouble codes while the truck is on the road. I caught one of my drivers in a couple of white lies. Now that they know I'm watching, idle % has dropped, pretty muck paying for the tracking service.

The DRIVER said THE truck "WAS" parked in HIS driveway, and that there WAS "no WAY" someone SIPHONED off fuel. From what's been posted here, he never said he parked it in a bad "NEIGHBORHOOD". Hell, maybe you ought to do him a favor and fire him, maybe he can find less of a ##### to work for.

Well then. Maybe you should learn to read first before opening your mouth. Read post #12. Then my post about that one. THEN, you commented about my post. Like I said...Learn to read BEFORE opening your mouth. Doesn't matter, I would NEVER hire someone with your LACK of driving knowledge anyway. Most of us only hire REAL drivers...NOT wanna-be's. Have a good day.

Okay, post#12 is someone else saying maybe he lives in a bad neighborhood. The driver seems to think he doesn't, as he said there was no way anyone siphoned his fuel while it was there.
I live in a decent neighborhood, I still lock my stuff up, keep honest people honest. BTW, I'm already happily employed, but thanks for the advise.

Maybe you ought to reread the thread before attacking my reading comprehension.

    Be safe out there.

Speaking of Teletrac, they recently wrote an article about employees stealing gas that I thought I'd share. Seems like it would be relevant in this thread. http://www.teletrac.com/fleet-management/topics/employees-stealing-gas

Hope you figure out what happened to the fuel so it won't happen again in the future!

Same here, 3.2 mpg Winnipeg to Saskatoon in winter. 45mph headwind and slushy snowy day, fully loaded. No profit that day!

    MNdriver Thanks this.
