New HOS rules?

The WalMart driver was not in violation . He had been up all day shopping with his wife before starting a night shift . Ralph Nader founded Public Citizen in 1971 . Claybrook became president of Public Citizen in 1982 after 4 years as head of NHTSA . She was not married to Nader . PATT was formed in 1994 . Claybrook was targeting the trucking industry long before that .

 

Warren Buffett owns trains. A lot of trains. Those trains are now hauling the oil that would be shipped by the Keystone pipeline, if it weren't being blocked by Obama's State Dept. Buffett and Obama are friends. Coincidence?

I propose we have ALL CMV go 55 MPH,work only 8 hours a day and drive at night...I want cameras in all the trucks and E-LOGS....Not to mention the voice recorders.....I call for this action in the name of SAFETY...

 

Well, at least, you are not a company owner. You did not call for no idle of the trucks during the hot day.

 

As for Clybrook-Nader--I stand corrected--had always heard they were a couple--but I feel the facts hold that they (as you say)were both members-together and seperately of very ANTI TRUCK Groups..
As for the WAL MART DRIVER--while the events leading up MAY be in questions--He was found in violation and charged w/falisfying his log book and spent 98days in jail and paid $1000.00 in fines

Cant seem to get the link to work--but it is the AP article from Oct 4 1994--concerning the now civil trial against both walmart and the driver--and in the court documents quoted--shows the crimnal/and traffic violations against him already adjudicated....
And either way I feel WE are in basic agreement--these folks have been after us for years--I just merely wanted to point out how many of the larger trucking amd trucking related companies are not the FRIENDS they would like us to believe they are
