I remember those and love the look but unfortunately I also remember kidney belts.
If you had to bobtail one on a bumpy road you knew all about it.
I still actually prefer driving a COE but the new European versions that almost ride like a Cadillac.

 

There are a few tricks I want to try to take some of the harshness out of it, but I doubt it will ever right as old as the ones you have.

Here is my ride for the new company I'm with. Very comfortable and well kept company truck.
2013 Volvo 780, I-Shift Automatic, D-13 Volvo engine, 71mph on the pedal, 68 on cruise. Work station that turns into a table, that I never use. Come on, it's a bed for Gods sake. 113K on the clock. Sure beats the beast I came out of. Here's the old truck and the new one.

 

i have driven both a kw and a volvo...i would rather have the KW..but glad u r happy....

 

I probably would have felt the same way if the KW that was given to me had a little less than 1.5 million miles on it and every moving part wasn't wore out, plus was a little newer that 13 years old.

 

Hey hey hey watch it! My trucks 13 years old and has almost 1.5 million miles on it. I still love her though. Although I will agree with you these older trucks don't have the creature comforts that the newer ones do and if its comfy for you can't fault you for that. Glad your happy with the new truck driver. Glad you can run more than 65 too! Both the kw and the vovlo are pretty good looking rigs.
