Yeah, BUT, THIS WEEK in particular, you really do not want to be out past your clock- or have any violations on your logs the past 8 days Jim....

Man the guys at Fletcher throwin tarps sucked today. I had to help a Maverick keep his tarps by holding them up as he pulled out because the idiots werent bungeeing the tarps like they are suppose to. Usually this place isnt that bad but today they sucked and didnt seem to care smh.

Had a pretty cool securement this morning that had me scratching my head how to do it...

Was to get 4 rollers that are used to straighten out slinkys. Picture it as a huge drum of solid steel about 3 ft long and a good foot thick with skinny machined ends encased in huge feet on either side for the roller to spin free standing. Those where easy cause they had feet, not going anywhere. BUT, the shipper added two more of the rollers WITHOUT the feet! O_O

So, this is what I did: 8' beveled across the trailer under the skinny machined down ends that would normally be encased in the feet part allowing the "drum" part of the roller to roll free. 8' beveleds length wise between the drum of the rollers length wise with blocking between so that I can squeeze them together against the beveleds using a belly wrap, then straps over the skinny parts. I'm quite proud of what I was able to come up with to keep em from moving and way over secured for weight as they were only 2k per roller. Called the "oh ####" line just to get blessings, lmao...

Had my first Level 1 inspection today up in Wyoming. Once the trooper finished, he handed me the form and said these words verbatim: "If all of the trucks out here were in as good condition as yours, I wouldn't need to be out here doing these inspections."

Passing a Level 1 during the blitz is a good day no matter what else happens :)

That just goes to show you the condition of Maverick's equipment.
