Sounds like this is their standard hunting ground vs handing out multiple $100-$200 speeding tickets to equal the same gross within their territory.
Received a $5000 Ticket!

It's only money.

yep so i have 3 months to pay $3700. Going to call the court and tell them i cant pay that much in that much of a time period. Its horrible. Anyone going to Michigan needs to check all roads and never go to a road that doesn't like a class A truck on it, there will be cops there lurking just trying to find you and give you a ticket. Michigan is cheap as hell, taking money from hard working tuckers is a cheap ### move and it needs to stop, especially if the road is like a highway and you say the truck cant get on it! ########.

EXACTLY! Every state, town, parish, county has that 1 hot spot/trap for garaunteed cash cow results. Rode thru a road in Penns Grove, NJ today. Average size street CR 48. After I turned on it the gps showed weight restriction violation. As I kept going, it kept telling me to turn down smaller streets to turn around. Still no signs. My butt got tight when I cruised by the local police dept. 1 block from I-295

Yup, got my overweight ticket in West Haverstraw NY last year, turned down a road marked as STAA and way after you make the turn you see the first sign, no trucks over 10 trucks except local delivery. No way to see the sign till after you make the turn and that is where the cop sits. I will never deliver near that town again. They reduce them to parking tickets and send you on your way a couple hundred dollars later. If it was legit I am sure they wouldn't reduce the tickets that much.
Big Don Thanks this.
