Here is a good one for Stan Koch & Sons Trucking in Minneapolis,Mn.

Spent most of the day at the Dept. of Labor trying to file for unemployment just to be DENIED...the reason is: for some strange reason the last reported employer, earnings & wages were from my empoler back in 2010 before going to work for Koch.

Some strange (unexplained) reason the state has no record of or reportings of wages/earnings from Stan Koch for the past 33 months for me. Now I have to file a ton of reports along with the reports the state has to file to find out why 33 months of employment were not reported by the employer.

Well it seems to me that you should have some type of pay stub to show you worked there. I'm kind of wondering what happened at the company you worked for before going to Koch? Also, what companies would you suggest driving for?

well, justme57, the company I left in 2010 to go to koch was seasonal hauling dry bulk cement to porta-plants which don't operate between October & April and as for having pay stubs, got everyone from day one but the problem is I live in Illinois, Koch took Illinois State Taxes out every week for almost 3 years but never reported any of my wages or earnings to Illinois, so as far as Illinois shows, my last employer and earnings/wages were back in 2010. So inaddition to having a State & Federal Labor Investigation going now I have to file DISPUTES with the D.O.T on both State & Federal levels. As so many drivers have reported and have reports on file for the same thing, now I have to deal with it and file reports. Koch will not report anything on your DAC while your employed because it will make them look bad and affect their CSA Score but as soon as you are no longer an employee they are quicker then lightning to file FALSE REPORTS which create a major negative when trying to find another job. My saving grace is, I have copies of the 2 incident reports (with pictures) that were turned into Koch and the reports that KOCH's oversized, over weight, worthless former Werner Sfty director Dailey (who's now Koch's Sfty Dir) are not even close to what happened and the reports I submitted.

All I see are a bunch of take no responsibly drivers, I was with koch back in 09 and the only person I heard of getting let go was cuz they backed into a customers building, and broke some ####, and a guy ran over something and ripped the tandems off of the trlr, but they did help them get home. When someone from a company gets let go and they wouldn't help them get home there's more to the story. Ok and the thing about the recruiter telling u all of this things to get u in the door, and behind the wheel, no #### duh, but at koch u have to have 2yrs or more experience to drive here, so u should know what lie's recruiter tell and thank for ur self no one is holding a gun to ur head to come here. I'm one of those driver don't care were I go, cuz it is thier trucks, haul what they want cuz it is thier trucks, never had a problem with the 08 prostar i had the only problem I had was the cummins apu, it would always break down on Friday around 3or4 pm and cummins only have one person at the shops who can work on them, and they don't work on the weekends, they guys down in ardmore yard always did a great job. And u know what dumbies I'm back

koch OTR div curently running app %380 turnover. source of problem lies with the planners and sales people. WAY too many loads are being delivered late due to poor planning. planners tell dm which loads to dispatch drivers on. OTR currently avg 1700 mi per week. not good. i will not be here much longer. will stay till 1 year aniversary (11jul13) to get my 1 week paid vacation then gone. i drive unit 95008

380 percent turnover? That doesn't seem so bad. Where do I sign up?

I posted this question at another Koch thread but not sure will get a response, so will post it here too.

I called Koch today... asked a bunch of questions and got somehow interested.... But would like to know from a Koch driver...

Their recruiter said that most of their trucks have double bunks. But when I saw the images (on Google street view) of their terminal in MN, looks like there is a lot of of Internationals and Volvos mid roof and one bed only... And trucks with super single tires...

Interior size of truck and room storage is one of my key requirements when finding my next company... I live in the truck for 3 months at a time, cook in the truck and all... I definitely can't fit my things and feel comfortable in a truck that small... My next truck will not only be a place to work but my real home. I can't go all the way to their terminal right now and see their equipment and talk to their folks there...

So, I ask you, Koch drivers, do they have more mid roof trucks than high roof w/double bunks?

What are the chances of a new hire of getting a truck with double bunk? And super single tires?

If I go to orientation, I would be prepared to go anywhere, in my own vehicle to p/up the truck they have available... but I can't accept a mid roof with single bed and don't want super singles. Do you think they would be able to accommodate me or work it out?

Are ALL their trucks 10 speed? Are there any automatic?

Are all Koch trucks governed at 64mph? Is that the fastest they can go??

Did you take that CRT test during orientation? How heavy were those weights?? And what will disqualify a candidate with regard to that test?

I really, appreciate any response... Those are very important things for me... Don't want to put all the effort and time and money into going all the way to MN if I will not sign up with them because I hate the truck or failed the test and screw up my back... :biggrin_2552:

Thank you very much! And y'all be safe out there. :biggrin_25519:
