just graduating looking going to tmc for orentation (good Idea)?

    going to school in ky live just south of cincinnati, is this a good location to be home every weekend for a flatbed company? Anyone been through orentation with tmc? any new grads going to Iowa in january?

    Rambo, I suggest you get to the orientation. Chances are that is where you will find out how it will all go. Cross reference what the recruiter had said to you and what you learn in orientation and report it back to this site. Flatbed will keep you out long periods of time, so be aware and be prepared before you jump in. Or, just don't think about it and go for it. Take your pick.

    I made it to iowa for tmc training the hotel is great and people are friendly so far I will report back monday jan 14

    I have heard nothing but good things about TMC also. Other than the long orientation and long training. I think it is 2 weeks of orientation and 6 weeks of training. They do have some of the nicest trucks. They get paid 100 dollers to stop at any certified school and let the students look at there truck. Talk about some easy money.

    I went to school in london KY about 1-1/2 hours south of lexington. It was a good school I would recommend it. The biggest reason I chose it was because they will put you on a payment plan. What school was you looking at ? I chose to pay for school mysealf so I wouldnt have to sing a contract now tmc is paying back my loan payments for me every month I work for them.

    Rambo how long did it take you te hear from Tmc and did they give you any hassle because you went to another school and not theirs.

    I hope to be starting school next month and I know that a TMC recruiter stops by the school once a month and was giving them some thought because id like to get into flatbedding but does anyone know if they will hire someone with a misdeameanor possession charge that was 3 1/2 years ago?
