There's only 3700 signs posted that you can't take a truck into the Lincoln Tunnel, and there are supposed to be people watching that tunnel. Apparently they were at the Holland Tunnel on break or something. Smh.

Never heard of Lincoln Tunnel. Is it in Nebraska? Are you sure it isn't the Cornhusker Tunnel?

There are a few tunnels in NYC. Major ones are the Lincoln and the Holland tunnels.
-
Mid-town and Battery are others. Lincoln is no trucks from one direction and no tandems (5+axles)the other way, I think. I don't deliver in Manhattan, so far, so no reason to go there.
Never took any in NYC, have taken a few in MD and VA that went under water, have seen many that go through mountains and hills. -
Trucks are allowed in the Lincoln tunnel but the clearance in the center tube is only 13'. Quite a few overpasses in NJ are also like that.

The 13' clearance is the center tube only. Trucks can take the Lincoln tunnel but NOT the Holland tunnel.camerabrat Thanks this.

The driver entered the center tube and it only has a 13' clearance.
