What do you mean guilty? whats wrong with taking a hour lunch break. Ive been doing it that way for over 20yrs. sounds like you have let this industry screw up your head. shameful really though that so many are brought up thinking this is how its done(run yourself into the ground for a load)

Drove elogs for a year. No problem; kinda liked having the electronic secretary. No paperwork to keep track of, etc.
As far as telling me when to drive? Not anymore; allowed it once, drove tired (long story) and ripped off a bumper on a curb. After that, I set the drive time and the office rats can either stuff themselves or fire me. I've told my last 2 FM's, I make the safety calls cause I'm on the scene, not some desk jockey. Never had another problem with it.

If you wait until the last minute to park, you're an idiot who deserves the violation. Go back to school and learn how to do a proper trip plan.
Cranky Yankee and Red Hot Mess Thank this. -
Why should one have to park an hour or more before their hours are up just because lazy drivers are parking 2 hours before they need too. None stop I go to park it for the night and some yahoo has been parked since 6pm and they aren't leaving till morning. Waste of space for the real drivers out here making a living.

So you never got held up at a shipper or receiver or maybe got held up due to traffic or weather, that completely screwed up your plan.

how due you know how many hours a driver has left? Do you go up to drivers and ask them? And if a driver wants to call it a day and park early that's his/her business. By the way when did it be come your decision when its ok for a driver to park and what does it have to do with being a "real driver" as you put it. last question: What in your definition is a "real driver" just curious. by the way I often shut early as possible if I don't need to put in a full day and have the time to park it early and have a relaxing dinner and or watch a movie.
