The incentives are a big deal if you have loved ones living elsewhere. Technically, I'm still offered a plane ticket for a week off after three, but I don't know anyone who goes home that often. If I'm here in the cold weather, I'm going to test that policy.

I worked out of the Ross yard hauling crude last year. Crude pays the most. Then water, then sand. Good luck.

I am currently a frac hand based out of Watford with 2 years experience and a squeaky clean record with Hazmat/Tanker. I have 2 weeks on and 1 week off. I was thinking of driving crude/water/sand on my week off. Any advice on who to hit up for a driving job every third week?

The rates in ND are coming down fast. Lots of company's relocating or returning to the Texas oil patchs. WHere cost of living and conditions are a lot more forgiving to live and work in. BIg company's moving in and bringing their own work force with them. They don't want to pay the wildcat rates we've been getting, which made it worth putting up with the weather, dangers on the road and price gouging. It's all about the MONEY folks. And it is dissapearing in ND. We've seenit coming and it's happening now. The gold rush is over folks...

Yea the companies who came here to gouge the prices and make money are being Forced to lower there wages so there running back to Texas.... And the companies who do good are still making great money.... Sonte ones who are bailing are the ones who couldn't hack it up here. Hell anyone can run the oilfield in Texas.... There is a reason they pay what they pay up here.. We get more work then we can handle... Our wages won't be going down any time soon... There is money to be made up here if u do your research and pick or join the right company...

    Hey there chaz7r,
I sent my online application into MBI on friday, hopeing to hear something back this week. I put in for winch truck driver for Belfield. But if they put mne somewhere else that will be fine also. I liked what MBI had on there website. Hopefully when i have my interview i can find out the questions i need answered. I'm hoping it will be worth coming up there from being here in Iraq where things are starting to wind down.
    Thanks for the info.

I have heard things are "leveling off" and the boom was was in 09'..from a multiple of company men. Ive been hauling fuel to the rigs for 1.5yrs now here in Watford @26hr. The new drivers that we get who have worked in texas claim the wages down there are between $20-24hr in and around San Antonio/Corpus Crist...doing crude. If this is the case im counting down my days of living it up here!!
