I have recently been thinking about stepping up to l/p and have been reading alot of the jct posts. I pretty much live on the road so I'm thinking it might be more beneficial income wise to try it. My question is how consistent are the miles? On the websites net calculations it shows 1131.31 running 2800 miles. I average 3000 where I am now which is 51 dollars less than the 2800 with jct. Do you see more than 2800 or is that the average?

With the elogs many drivers are averaging 2800 miles. There will be weeks over 3k and weeks with only 2k depending how you manage your time and when you turn in your trips.

My kids live in Oklahoma which is another reason I was looking at jct. I spent eight years and two deployments in Iraq so being gone is something they are used to. They say the one thing you can't get back is time and maybe the choices I have made haven't been the best but I provide for them the best I can and they know I love them very much. At least with technology as advanced as it is I can video chat with them everyday. I figure if I work hard now I can reap the benefits later with them.

Amen to that and thanks for your service. For me I also have a family and lil ones. Ive sacrificed 5 years of time to pay off a truck and now I reap the benefits by getting to be home everynight and off most weekends and have my own truck...

    bigtopp Thanks this.

Like Alan said, your service is appreciated. Most of the drivers I work with and around do average 3k or more, however there will always be the untimely break down or just a nasty load.

Thank you for your posts and information. Traffic I received your pm and I really appreciate it. I haven't made a final decision yet but I'm leaning jct direction.

Anytime. I just noticed your location is Lawton. Are you a native or transplant? Lawton is my birth place and home to me for over half my life. Every other 3 years lol.
