Hello guys, I'm just curious is there any specific gps navigation designed only for trucks? I mean can I insert maps for trucks in standard gps navigation for cars? If something like that even exists? I saw in earlier posts truckers who have made serious mistakes travelling by route that gps guided them. Are there any maps only for trucks, where can/must trucks move, overpass height etc.

Thanks. That did help, but as far as I could see randmcnally is manufacturing truck navigations only for North American continent. What I wonder is there something similar for Europe?

Hey now! The TomTom is probably your ticket! It's designed in Europe, and yes, it has truck specific routing for Europe as well as North America. Check out my review of the TomTom Pro Truck 7150 here http://www.poi-factory.com/node/40131

You can use any good GPS and install iGO Truck + truck maps.
Or... Buy a Becker. Truckers say there are the best.
