Yep, I think it worked, for this year anyway. I'll probably have to re-explain it again next winter.

I told the FMCSA that in their request for comments . I told them forum members with e-logs complain someone in safety edited their e-logs and changed on duty time to sleeper berth

EXACTLY.They ''edit'' this E-LOG and they call this ''legal'' and following the rules...PATHETIC.They are no different than paper loggers ''editing'' there paper log...I think many e-loggers are drinking the KOOL-AID AGAIN..

No one ever creatively "edits" my elogs either. But there are places that do... I've had a number of Werner drivers tell me that their dispatchers can get into the database to rearrange things. Kinda like how things work for the loose-leaf folks...

Yeah but whoever edits the elogs is at risk in getting caught. I have been told by numerous ppl that if anything is deleted or changed it will show up in the main database archives

... a driver can edit their elogs; but it must be for a justified reason ...what that reason is, is upto the driver.... so with that said, it's easier for a driver to cheat on their elogs than someone in safety, logs, etc etc
