I got mine a littler after 9am Central Time this morning. I'm guessing the system broke last night and they didn't know until they came in this morning.

I helped a Maverick "emergency secure" his load today. Unfortunately I think it will prolly be his last with Maverick. He had Heidtman Steel coils on loaded shotgun. He didnt deadman block them and somehow managed to tip the first two forward. They were about 12" wide coils. His tarp job was terrible to boot, all in all very sloppy work. We took a 4x4 and ran it thru the eye if the coils like you would on slinkys to hopefully prevent and further leaning. Another Prime flatbedder helped him retarp as I had to roll for San Antonio. Talking to this driver I learned he had just had an accident yesterday before he loaded and now this improperly secured load. Then I also found out he's had other accidents or incidents with Maverick because he's already used his "get out of jail free card" this year by attending a safety clas but still has two points besides what he'll get with his recent accident and load mishap. Smh,where Maverick came up with this guy I dont know but he was definitely NOT Maverick material. He said he'd been thru the barn but his tarp work made me wonder. He also seemed clueless about the deadmans blocking. I felt bad knowing he's prolly gonna lose his job but at the same time think he really should for not caring about doing things right. I have to say he was one of the worst examples of bad drivers Ive run into for Maverick. I guess one slipped thru the cracks.

Poor poor guy just having a hard time.

And that is why we put a chain around ALL of the coils at the top. Holds them all together. Did he have a strap over each coil?
The ten minutes that he saved at the shipper just cost him 30+ and possibly his job

He had straps over the tops just no chain wrap. Even if he had a proper deadmans block it would have prevented that I believe. After talkin to him I dont think he was having a bad day I think he was having a bad year and from the looks of that load and tarp job its prolly best he dont pull flats. Jm2c but if you want to be lazy about your load then go pull swingin doors.

Well, this week was interesting. This was my Wife's FIRST TIME going out on the road with me. She was with me Sunday through Thursday morning when I had a load going by the homebase. She had her eyes opened a bit I believe. She has started writing a letter or short story (whatever you want to call it) about her experience. If she says it is OK, I will type it all out onto a post on here. Perhaps give a different perspective on things?
