I pulled into a Pilot to get a scale ticket, hit the scale, parked, walked to the building to get my yellow ticket...and a sandwich.
Coming out of the door closest to the fuel islands was one of the cashiers, going on a smoke break.
She lights up, then notices a friend pumping gasoline at the gas islands, and walks over to him, who also had a lit cigarette hanging from his mouth, and stands next to him...chatting away for a few minutes, both smoking....
I'd say something to the Manager, or at least mention the exact location of the Pilot in this post, but I am afraid if she got fired, she would go to truck driving school, and end up driving a gasoline tanker.
I'm not anti-smoker. I'm anti-stupid
Today at a Pilot.....'somewhere'

You are seeing nature in action, thinning the herd of stupid people, many accidents just aren't, it's time catching up to stupid people.

Kw Cajun , I like the pic! Been on some hills that felt like that ! About 22% is the worst grade I have Been on, or at least worst marked grade .
KW Cajun Thanks this. -
Try this. Pour some gasoline on the ground. Try to light it with a cigarette. Wave it around in the vapor. Stub it out in the liquid. It won't light. Next time mind your own business; the world isn't out to get you.
pete1 and plasticVNL670 Thank this. -
KW Cajun, Marksteven and drvrtech77 Thank this.

If not, it's easy to see you adhere (unwisely) to "Russian Roulette" practices around gasoline. FYI, since gasoline has a flash point of -45°, any temp above minus 45° allows it to give off enough flammable vapors to be ignite-able. Sure you can "get lucky" most of the time (as in Russian Roulette), but that one time that cigarette throws a random spark (commonly seen/occur, if you smoke), and.... guess what?
Try this... Try to defend your unwise stance, while standing in ground zero of an inferno. After that, THEN I'll be impressed with your "credibility". -
You might google it.
It is amazing what you can learn in the fire industry.
Not that I would trust it. -
Not sure if your post is saying you agree with my statement or disagree (in part or whole). Or who you're telling to google it (me or A21CAV)?
Just trying to clarify.
