The district manager was so upset, he decided to go up there with no notice and watch her. Told him the restroom had no soap or towels. An outhouse would have been an improvement.

He called back and said changes would be made.

Never have been back to it since.

Even when a truck stop employee gives me attitude, I try to return with kindness or a neutral attitude. It has to suck to work there, sometimes.

Take into consideration they are in the customer service industry for what I'd imagine is crappy pay.

Sure, it's no excuse to make a stupid comment.

I still agree that saying they won't salt for the truckers is really bad, though.

I guess they need to remember that most truckers want a decent experience when they finally get to a safe haven to fuel, shower, eat, and sleep. As drivers, we need to remember that even the cashiers have a bad day. Just a little perspective for both sides.

I don't know why, but I've seen people walk away with lines at the counters. They wander off as if they don't need to ring us out. I don't know why that is.

You have more tolerance then me.Someone gives me an attitude, they're getting it right back.Drivers put up with alot and as professional drivers we let alot of things slide.I have bad days, the pay sucks but I don't take it out on others.Their job title is customer service meaning wait on and help the customers if they have questions.I don't think having a bad attitude is in their job description.

been trying to figuar out the answer to this.
if every one who hates pilot flying j so much, why are you spending your own money there?
Granted some may have to fuel there as per your company, but this doesn't mean you have to spend YOUR OWN money there.

Funny how you can go somewhere and spend $750 on fuel, $15 on a meal, $20 in the store, and shower and still be treated like crap. But they'll bend over backwards to get the RV'ers and vacationers in the place.

I hate it when you are in a middle of a transaction, and the manager or another cashier walks up to the person you are dealing with, and they start talking about something, or a problem the other person is having, and you just stand there, waiting, until they finish. This happens a LOT.

The only thing worse is when some dumb trucker is hanging out at the fuel desk, trying to chat up the usually skanky woman behind the counter, and slowing down whatever she is doing.

What about the ones that come in and they are either on the phone or their phone rings and they answer it while in line and they have to hold everyone up while talking. That has burnt me up more than once.

This just crossed my mind, What would have she said if you had broken a bone or some other type of injury? Wonder what would have been the response when they would have had to pay that hospital bill and a possible lawsuit.

One of the reasons the district manager was so upset.
